Classical MusicThe Kumho Young Musicians Manners School is a special education program, part of the on-going system of support for young musicians, devised for those who have previously participated in the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series and the Kumho Young Artist Concert Series. This program provides self-management courses on the necessities of how to transition smoothly into the life of a professional musician on the international stage.
This specially customized program involves teaching musicians about how they can best present and promote themselves on the global stage. It features an all-inclusive curriculum from stage manners to other necessary skills under the instruction of professionals from different fields. At the end of the program, participants visit a photo studio and receive professionally taken profile photos which they can then later use as a self-PR tool. The program is conducted as follows:
- Self-presentation: How to write a biography and how to take a profile photo
- Stage manners: How to bow and hold yourself with the correct posture
- Styling class: Make-up instruction and hair styling tips
- Miscellaneous: Table manners and international etiquette
KCF provides master classes as part of its support activities for young musicians. The master classes offer the musicians the chance to work alongside renowned artists with national and international reputations, including those who have performed in the Beautiful Thursday Concert Series. During the classes the experienced artists share their craft, expertise, and life lessons with the young musicians and also provide one on one instruction.
