Classical MusicThe Kumho Management School is an educational program organized by the KCF as part of its support for young musicians. It systematically educates musicians from the Kumho Concert Series programs on essential non-musical elements needed to perform on the world stage.
This project has evolved from the Kumho Manners School, which received strong support from music students from 2004 to 2016. It has been further developed to align with contemporary musical elements, emphasizing practical self-management training and publicity.
In today's world, where individual artists become their own brands, the program offers individual career training to help artists recognize their own value and effectively communicate it. This includes writing personal profiles, archiving and recording, handling promotions, and responding to performance proposals.
◼ Self-Management Training: Profile writing and documentation management
◼ PR and Communication Training: Handling performance invitations and media promotions
◼ Video Interview Practice: Introducing performers and self-monitoring
KCF provides master classes as part of its support activities for young musicians. The master classes offer the musicians the chance to work alongside renowned artists with national and international reputations, including those who have performed in the Beautiful Thursday Concert Series. During the classes the experienced artists share their craft, expertise, and life lessons with the young musicians and also provide one on one instruction.
