SCHOLARSHIPSince 1997 the Kumho Cultural Foundation has continuously supported young students through scholarship programs. Every year, KCF sponsors young students with high grades who unfortunately suffer from financial difficulties. These students vary in ages across middle school, high school and university, and the scholarships are also open to foreign students studying in Korea. KCF strives to provide the stepping stones for these qualified young students to pursue their dreams.
“In a situation where you have financial difficulties at home, when a business doesn’t have an accumulation of material assets, when your nation’s natural resources are insufficient, then the importance of global talent is even more critical.”
“It is our job to support these people, the leading stars of our future, by providing them with continuous scholarships so they don’t give up on their dreams for financial reasons. In the future they will become the leaders of national development and pass on the message of their hopes and dreams to the next generation.”
With the belief that nurturing and fostering young talent is a surefire investment for the future, KCF grants scholarships to those in their sophomore year of university in Korea. They provide these scholarships to those students with outstanding grades despite their families having financial difficulties. The selected students get a full scholarship until graduation, providing them with a solid footing and stable environment in which to fully commit to their studies. The foundation also offers scholarships to those in middle school and high school who receive the highest honors, exceed expectations and raise their school name.
